John Ebersberger had me model for this painting demonstration on Saturday, March 20th at McBride Gallery's "Art of the Figure" Exhibition.
The Painting was completed in two hours under incandescent light.
View the development of the demonstration (below left). It illustrates the process of painting the shapes of light and shade that make up the structure of the head with the use of color to express the lighting conditions. The painting then comes into focus with the features only at the end. |
